FOUNDED:

1957 as Basler Flight Service by Warren & Pat Basler. Basler Turbo Conversions was formed in 1988 to develop the remanufacturing business and now is the principal business.

GENERAL OBJECTIVE:

Remanufacturing DC-3 aircraft to serve special mission markets worldwide.

COMPANY OPERATION:

Basler operates a 135 Cargo Airline and Oshkosh FBO as well as the Oshkosh based remanufacturing operation. FAA Certificates include Air Carrier, various STC’s, PMA and Repair Station.

IMPROVEMENTS/INNOVATIONS:

BT-67 Fire Guardian is the first true multi purpose fire fighter in the world. It can be switched back and forth from Standard Category Transport to Restricted Category Fire Fighting in less than 20 minutes.

AREAS CONTRACTED/CONDUCTING BUSINESS:

Basler Turbo Conversions conducts business worldwide with clients that include both private commercial firms and governments. Approximately 90% of sales are international. The U.S. Forest Service operates two of Basler’s BT-67 smoke jumper aircraft.
