GENERAL:
Air Tractor is the leading manufacturer of agricultural aircraft and in 1993 began production of the AT-802 for aerial firefighting. Since that time, more than 200 of the AT-802 series have been sold.

COMPANY OPERATION:
The AT-802 performs a variety of special purpose functions, including aerial firefighting, agricultural spraying, seeding, fertilizing, oil spill dispersant spraying, and fuel hauling.

IMPROVEMENTS/INNOVATIONS:
The AT-802 utilizes a patented state-of-the-art firegate with computerized controls and a “smart feature” to provide consistent coverage levels. The aircraft provides excellent pilot visibility, many safety features for crash worthiness, and a reliable turbine engine. Fully loaded, the AT-802 can take off and land on remote strips close to fires.

AREAS CONTRACTED:
The AT-802 has been used for firefighting in the United States, Canada, Spain, Portugal, Croatia, Chile, Australia, and South Africa.

FLEET:
In addition to producing the AT-802 and AT-802A for agriculture and firefighting, Air Tractor currently produces the AT-401B, AT-402B, AT-502A, AT-502B, and AT-602 exclusively for agricultural use.
